I am a writer, naturalist, artist, and dreamer.

I grew up in Ithaca, NY which is a "gorge"ous town set in the heart of the Finger Lakes region of upstate New York. As a child I learned to appreciate the beauty of nature and the values of individuality. During my college career, I spent time in the St. Lawrence River valley of New York and in the Back Bay area of Boston, Massachusetts.

I enjoy traveling and have visited many places, including our nation's capitol, several southern states, all of New England, and parts of Canada. My next goal is to travel internationally, starting with Europe.

I love reading and read classic literature, fiction, and nonfiction regularly. I want to write a novel or write and illustrate a children's picture book within the next few years.

I enjoy exploring natural environments and learning about plants and animals. I like to hike and swim. I also like to attend renaissance festivals.

I love creating art, including drawing, watercolors, and pen & ink. I love photography and frequently take my digital SLR camera with me on my travels. I also like to create jewelry from sterling silver and gemstone beads.

I like to consider myself an eternal student, as I love to explore, ask questions and learn more about the world.
